Abhishek Gupta

CA

Mr. Abhishek co-leads the Economic Development Advisory business unit at EY India. His areas of focus are investment attraction & facilitation, export promotion, startup promotion and ease of doing business. He has 16 years of government consulting experience, leading large multi-year PMUs as well as industrial and sectoral policy engagements.
He has led more than two dozen consulting projects related to landmark programs and schemes like Make in India, Startup India, National eGovernance Plan, Smart Cities Mission, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and Skill India. He has closely worked with political and administrative leadership in multiple states like MP, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand and Telangana, central ministries like Commerce & Industry, Urban Development, Textiles, Food Processing Industries and Electronics & IT, and with agencies like the WB, FCDO, UN and ADB. His countries of experience include Australia, UK, UAE, Kuwait, Morocco, Kazakhstan, Nepal, and Tunisia.
Abhishek completed his Post Graduate Diploma in Management from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad in 2006 after obtaining his Chartered Accountancy degree in 2001. Outside work, his engagements include delivering lectures at higher and technical education institutions, member of the evaluation committee at UK India Education & Research Initiative, and member of the curriculum review committee at IIM Kashipur.

 

 

Aditya Pujari

Mr Aditya Pujari a seasoned techno functional IT solutions consultant with excellent academic credentials and hands on experience in supply chain IT solutions. His skills and competencies cover the end-to-end lifecycle of an IT solution engagement right from product selection, project planning, business requirement workshops, solution design, build and launch. Throughout his 15+ years career, he has worked across diverse scale of organizations –like Millicent Consulting having just 7 employees to a giant like Infosys having 3Lakh+ employees and covered multiple industries like Power, Telecom and Retail. He started his career in India in 2005 and since 2014 – leading the supply chain solution consulting and implementation for Australian clients.
Learning, sharing, and caring have been the principal values of my professional life. He has received some amazing mentors from across the globe, and equally keen to share his experiences with young professionals of tomorrow. Ajit Mishra

Amlan Bhushan

Master of Science in Economics and Business Administration, School of Economics and Business Administration, Lund University, Sweden

Prof Amlan Bhushan trained as an Economist and as a Public policy researcher at the School of Government, Victoria University, Wellington, New Zealand, starting with a Board appointment, to the largest youth charity in New Zealand, The young New Zealander’s Foundation. Amlan Bhusan is a transnational management consultant with over 15 years of experiences, under-taking several high value consulting projects, in diverse geographic and economic settings and in as many as eleven different countries. From strategy to diversification, from consolidation of inefficient business units to effective human capital management, from public and commercial diplomacy programmes for government agencies, to corporate communications, strategic recruitment, and other core knowledge management functions, Amlan has been active across several portfolios. Amlan has been a board member at Ethical Team, a boutique sustainability advisory firm in Essex, UK, between 2014-18 and was actively involved in strategizing the G7 sustainability report in 2017. Arun Krishnan

Arun Krishnan is consultant with more than 15 years’ experience in domains such as climate change, urban infrastructure, transport, smart cities, and airports. He focusses on deal advisory, project finance, strategy & operations, public policy, and public-private partnerships. He has advised on infrastructure deals worth more than $1 billion in multiple geographies including India, the Netherlands, Saudi Arabia, Canada and Singapore. He is an industry speaker and has published articles on topics of climate and infrastructure in news websites such as News 18.
He has worked for marquee consulting firms such as McKinsey & Co and KPMG. He’s a visiting faculty in IIM Shillong, Adani Institute of Infrastructure Management, Takshashila Institution, SIBM Hyderabad, School of Inspired Leadership etc.

 

 

Ashutosh Dash

Dr Dash, a member of Accounting and Finance area at Management Development Institute (MDI), has taught Business Valuation, Mergers & Acquisitions, Corporate Restructuring, Strategic Cost Management, International Financial Reporting and Management Accounting at various premier institutes including MDI Gurugram; Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Shillong; National Institute of Financial Management (NIFM); School of Management, KIIT University; IIM Kozhikode (as Adjunct Faculty); IIM Kashipur (as visiting Faculty); IIM Rohtak (as visiting Faculty); IIM Amritsar (as visiting Faculty); and IIM Jammu (as visiting Faculty).

 

 

Asit K Barma

Ph.D., Faculty of Management Studies, University of Madras

An IIT Madras and IIM Ahmedabad alumnus, and a National Scholar, having done the Global Business Leadership program from Harvard Business Publishing, Dr Asit has 33 years of industry and academic experience. Currently he is the Director and Professor at Bharathidasan Institute of Management, Trichy. Prior to this he taught at Jagdish Sheth School of Management, Bangalore and IMT Ghaziabad. Dr Asit played senior leadership roles at ValueLabs, Hinduja Tech, Tech Mahindra and CMC Ltd (now TCS). He has a rich industry experience across diverse business functions like Sales; Strategy and Marketing; International Business Development; Product Marketing. Credited with building several successful corporate brands, he steered marketing function to be a strong business enabler, having activated several integrated marketing campaigns and account based marketing strategy generating significant leads and client acquisitions. He worked with the Guru of Services Marketing, Dr. A Parasuraman, to develop the first Index of Service Excellence in India (iSEI) on the similar line as the American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI) or Service Excellence Index in Singapore (SEISg). He is currently working with Dr Parasuraman on a project to assess consumers’ technology readiness in India. Dr Asit’s expertise lies in the intersection of industry consulting, teaching and research. Subjects he teaches include Marketing Strategy, Digital Business, Digital Marketing, Services Marketing, IT Sales and Marketing. His research agenda includes Service Excellence, Digital and society. On the board of multiple national and international academic and industry bodies, he effectively built and sustained strong relationships with stakeholders in varied business ecosystems comprising customers, industry associations, analysts, investors, media, academia, and government. He has also been instrumental in guiding CII, FICCI-Tamil Nadu State Council, NASSCOM and the Society of Automotive Engineers in preparing several key concept notes and policy recommendations.

 

 

Bipul Kumar

Ph.D, IIM Ranchi

Dr. Bipul Kumar is an AI consultant with 11 years of experience. He has consulted for various overseas companies based in the USA, and the UK, where he has helped in building products for medical devices in computer vision, conversational AI for financial products, trading algorithms, etc. He has diverse experience in building AI products with various kinds of data- text, speech, image, and video. He has also helped build out companies from scratch in AI and automation. His current research and industry interest are focused on computer vision, AI, and automation. He is a Ph.D. from IIM Ranchi where his thesis work was on recommendation engines. He also has worked as Production Engineer with BHEL for 4 years.

G. Naresh is an Associate Professor in the area of Accounting and Finance area. He completed his Post-Doctoral Research from Charlton College of Business, University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, USA and Doctor of Philosophy from University of Madras, India. He was earlier teaching at St. George’s University, Grenada, Birla Institute of Technology, UAE and Pondicherry University, India. His teaching and research interests are Accounting, Corporate Restructuring, Banking regulations and supervision, and Commodity Derivatives. He has presented his research in national and international conferences organized by Indian Finance Association, Indian Accounting Association and Financial Management Association. He has published papers in the reputed journals. He is in the Editorial Board of IIM Ranchi Journal of Management Studies, International Journal of Bonds and Derivatives, IUP Journal of Corporate Governance and Journal of Economic Policy and Research, IPE.
He has been teaching for more than 15 years and can comfortably teach any of the hard or soft-core courses in Accounting and Finance for Masters or Undergraduate students and specialized topics in finance for research programmes. He was awarded with Best Faculty Award in Pondicherry University for 3 consecutive years (2013 - 16). He was awarded with Raman Fellowship by UGC for pursuing Post-Doctoral Research in USA. He engages in many communities’ service projects both as a coordinator as well as a trainer. For his role as a Secretary in the Rotary Club he was awarded with Best Secretary Award for the community services."

 

 

Gurumoorthy Pattabiraman

He is also a Techpreneur & Entrepreneur, working on Product ideas and solutions that revolve around AI & ML. He is a Graduate in Mathematics and postgraduate in Actuarial Economics.

HARSH VARDHAN SAMALIA

Ph.D.

Dr Harsh Vardhan Samalia has done his PhD (in the area of Strategic Management and Intellectual Property Rights) and Masters in Business Administration from ABV-Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management, Gwalior, an institute of national importance. He has received his bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering from Madhav Institute of Technology & Science, Gwalior (one of the oldest Engineering College in Madhya Pradesh, India founded in year 1957). He is serving as an Associate Professor at IIM Shillong from last 7+ years and has more than 16 years of rich experience in teaching and research. Dr Samalia has more than 40+ research publications to his credit which include some of the top journals in the area of management. He is an avid sportsperson who likes to play badminton and football.

 

 

Mathukutty M Monippally

Ph.D. Manchester University, UK

He was a full professor at IIM Ahmedabad from June 2000 till his superannuation in February 2014. His teaching interests are in managerial communication skills and strategies including persuasion and leadership communication. He has conducted numerous workshops in different aspects of communication for middle and senior managers of a variety of organizations apart from PGP/MBA and doctoral students of several IIMs. His most recent books for managers include: The Persuasive Manager (Random House, New Delhi), Academic Writing (Sage, New Delhi), and Business Communication: From Principles to Practice (McGraw-Hill Education, New Delhi.
Before joining IIM Ahmedabad, he was a Lecturer, Reader, and a Professor at Central Institute of English and Foreign Languages, Hyderabad.
Now he lives on and works from his organic farm in a village in Kottayam district, Kerala.

 

 

Nitin Verma

Ph.D, IIM Ranchi - Information Systems and Analytics

Nitin Verma have 28+ years of industry-academics experience since completing my Engineering in 1994. He has been frequently called “innovative” and “creative” at various stages and for various work across continents. Won several awards, including the top “innovative” and “creative” award in Europe among contestants from nearly 40 countries at the ESMC (European Social Media Conference, co-sponsored by Emerald and InderScience) for my app work and two years before that, was a global top-6 “innovative” “creative” finalist for my Doctorate work (related to AI in travel/hospitality industry).
He spent 1.5+ decades in industry pre-Ph.D, including in the US (2000-2010) in IoTs, Big Data and Digital Transformation space for projects of Fortune 500s and consulting companies such as SAP, IBM and others. He once got US-Green Card (EAD) but chose to return to India and entered academia around 12 years back, in 2010.
He have been teaching Big Data & Analytics (Hadoop, Python, R, SQL and the ecosystem as applied in various domains of management), Data Visualization (advanced Excel, PowerBI, Tableau, D3.JS etc.), Machine Learning - AI, Digital Transformation (E-Marketing, Digital Startups), E-commerce, MIS and other subjects at several IIMs (Kashipur, Raipur, Jammu) and for other reputed organizations (Upgrad, Great Learning, Jindal Global Business School, Chitkara University and others).
He is also involved with several start-ups, including as Director-Learning of Analytics01.com. As of July 2022, he has been selected for mentoring the CyberSecurity Executive Program batch@ the MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA) and in 2021 was also associated with the NorthWestern University (of the Kellogg's Business School) for a Data Science course. Delivered several FDPs, Workshops, custom courses on a range of cutting-edge topics at IIMs and other organizations.

 

 

Prantosh J. Banerjee

FPM, IIM Ahmedabad

Prantosh J. Banerjee is an independent Management Consultant in Analytics-based Strategy domain with three decades consulting experience encompassing Automobile and FMCG verticals. He is a Visiting Faculty in a few select management institutes. He has also conducted multiple Managerial Development Programs for Corporates in Business Strategy, Marketing and Business Analytics. Academically, Prantosh is a B. Tech. (IIT Kharagpur), P.G.D.M. (IIM Calcutta) and FPM (equivalent to PhD, IIM Ahmedabad). His doctoral thesis received the IFCI Thesis award at IIM Ahmedabad. His research interests lie in counter-intuitive Consumer Behaviour and Pricing. Some of his research work has been published in ABDC category A journal. He has also reviewed research work for ABDC Category A journal. He is a Rotarian and a Paul Harris Fellow.

 

 

S Parthasarathy

Parthasarathy has over three decades of industry and entrepreneurial experience. He worked with ITC Classic Finance in the Merchant Banking function soon after his MBA. He has over two decades of entrepreneurial experience and developed multiple software products. He is recognized as a pioneer in developing SaaS-based software solutions to manage apartment complexes in 2008. He is also the author of two books titled - "Unmet Needs of Entrepreneurship" (March 2018) and "How to Discover Customer Value" (October 2021) - both published by Rupa Publications. He headed the alumni relations function at IIMB for over five years until April 2022.
