Smarak Samarjeet holds an MBA in Marketing and HR from Utkal University, Odisha. He also has a Master of Arts degree in Mass Communication. He has submitted his Ph.D. thesis at Pondicherry University.
He has taught courses such as Communication Theory, Online Journalism, Principles in Journalism, Advertising, Public Relations, and Development Communications at the Postgraduate level.
He specializes in Digital Marketing, Social Media Marketing, Public Relations for Digital Media, Content Writing, Technical Writing, and Public Service Advertising (PSA).
His research interests include Political Economy of Media, Rhetoric Studies, Semiotics Studies, Film Studies, Advertising, Feminist Media Studies, Ideological Analysis, Sentiment Analysis etc.
He was one of the 100 young leaders selected, to represent India at the Women Deliver 3rd Global Conference at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in 2013.
