Dr. Rachita Gulati holds Ph.D. in Economics from Guru Nanak Dev University, Punjab with specialization in applied econometrics. Her doctoral works contributes to the literature on financial economics in India and bears important policy implications for further reforms in the Indian banking sector.
Before joining IIM Kashipur, she has been affiliated with Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management, New Delhi, and a visiting scholar at Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research (IGIDR), Mumbai. She has attended several national and international conferences like Fifth International Conference of Thailand Econometric Society, Bangkok. She is also referee for the Middle East Development Journal, World Scientific Publishers, Singapore.
Her teaching interests include Managerial Economics, Applied Econometrics, and Quantitative Methods for Management. Her research interests include Efficiency and Productivity Analysis using frontier approaches. Her publications have appeared in several international journals of repute such as Macroeconomics and Finance in Emerging Market Economies by Taylor & Francis Ltd., International Review of Economics by Springer Publications, etc. She has published a book on ‘Banking Reforms and Efficiency of Public Sector Banks in India’ by LAP Lambert Publishers, Germany in 2012.
