The Marketing Club of IIM Kashipur, OnYourMark, was established on January 16, 2014, by students driven by their passion for marketing. OnYourMark's primary objective is to cultivate an environment conducive to learning and growth in marketing for the students of IIM Kashipur. The club aims to ignite interest and provide a comprehensive understanding of marketing concepts through a combination of practical and theoretical approaches.

At the core of OnYourMark's mission is the goal of kindling and sustaining students' interest in marketing through a holistic approach that blends practical experience with theoretical knowledge. The club assists students in exploring career opportunities in marketing by offering support during the industry recruitment process. This is achieved through various activities such as interactive workshops, seminars, quizzes, competitions, and case studies designed to enhance students' marketing proficiency.

Moreover, OnYourMark is dedicated to preparing students for success in corporate competitions and other inter- and intra-college events by providing industry exposure and relevant training.

Events

  1. Markaholic: The flagship case study competition of OnYourMark, conducted during Agnitraya, attracts participants from top B-schools such as IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Lucknow, IIM Kozhikode, IIFT, and many more. This year, the event witnessed participation from over 700+ participants and generated 12,000+ impressions.
  2. Guerrilla MarFair: A dynamic guerrilla marketing event where participants create innovative displays and promote brands creatively. The event achieved an impressive turnout with an average participation of 75+ students.
  3. DumbChar-ads: An engaging offline competition featuring multiple elimination rounds where participants act out brands and create imaginative taglines. The event witnessed participation from over 200 participants, showcasing diverse creative talents.
  4. Pitch Please: An inter-college sales pitch competition hosted on the UnStop platform that attracted 330+ teams from across India. Participants compete by delivering persuasive pitches judged on creativity, originality, content, and communication skills.
  5. Product Resurrection: An intra-college event that challenges participants to revive and reposition old or forgotten products in a modern and successful manner. The competition focuses on creativity, innovation, and problem-solving skills.
  6. Meme-Omento: Conducted to enhance students’ understanding of moment marketing through quiz and meme-making rounds. The event witnessed participation from 45+ teams.
  7. Ad-Vantage: A creative competition where participants produce video advertisements based on a given theme. The event evaluates creativity, storytelling, execution, and audience engagement while helping participants strengthen their advertising and marketing skills.
  8. Brand Blitz: A dynamic marketing competition that challenges participants to solve real-world business cases using marketing strategy and creativity. This year’s edition featured a case study from Phoenix Global and attracted participation from 300+ teams.
  9. Prod Mark: A fast-paced marketing event where participants receive a random product and must convince judges why it is worth buying. The challenge tests spontaneous thinking, persuasive communication, and pitching skills.
  10. Newsletter (Insight-Out): A monthly marketing newsletter that explores trends, campaigns, and consumer behavior shaping the business world. It provides sharp insights, real-world case studies, and fresh perspectives to keep readers informed and inspired in the evolving marketing landscape.
  11. Ambush Marketing: An offline event conducted during the Kashipur Premier League, where participants creatively implement ambush marketing strategies to outshine and challenge rival teams.
  12. Coffee Reads: A weekly article initiative by OnYourMark aimed at enhancing the marketing acumen of students. These articles cover topics such as digital marketing strategies, branding techniques, market analysis, and emerging industry trends.
  13. Dossier Sessions: Informative sessions organized by the club to deepen students’ understanding of marketing concepts and industry practices, helping them perform better academically and during placement processes.
