And the Expedition Club of IIM Kashipur strives to make sure your time during MBA is nothing less than a breath-taking adventure! The official corner for wandering souls of IIM Kashipur, Expedition Club strives towards acquainting the IIM Kashipur fraternity with the vastness of mountains, far-reaching oceans, arid deserts, and a plethora of opportunities encompassing the tourism sector. From trips, treks & cycling events, Expedition Club is spreading awareness about the sector amongst the business community.
As IIM Kashipur’s logo depicts the triple bottom line of the People, Planet, and Profit, the club’s mission is to promote sustainable tourism on our beloved planet Earth. As a club, we constantly work towards keeping the spirit of physical exploration alive in the era of virtual reality.

Activity
- Go Nomad: Go Nomad is The Expedition Club’s annual pan-India vlogging competition. It aims to view places from a different perspective, fostering creativity and celebrating the spirit of travel. The participants had to submit a vlog of duration under 3 minutes and the submissions were evaluated on the basis of editing, content quality and storytelling through visuals.
- Voyager of the year: Voyager of the Year is a pan India article writing competition based on a particular theme. The event aims to inculcate a love for documenting travel in the written form and promote Tourism in Uttarakhand. The parameters used to judge are vocabulary, pictures, information and storytelling.
- Khoj: Khoj is an intra-college quiz competition based on Travel and Tourism, where various questions were asked that revolved around the true essence of expedition. Short video based and audio-based questions were also asked to inculcate the awareness of travel and culture of India.
- Slow cycle race: Slow cycle race is an initiative that focuses on riding the cycle with utmost slow pace, which helps in bringing a sense of coordination with mind and body. It was initiated to create a friendly atmosphere among the students and increase the habit of cycling among the peers.
- Rishikesh Trip- A 2-day trip to Rishikesh on 19th and 20th August 2022 that included Camping, Sightseeing, Meals, Bonfire and Music.
- Kausani Trip- A 2-day trip to Kausani situated in the Kumaon region of Uttarakhand which offers a beautiful view of the peaks including Trishul and Nanda peaks. The trip included Camping, Trekking, Sightseeing, Meals, Bonfire and Music.
