The MBA (Analytics) program at IIM Kashipur is a two-year full-time residential programme and aims to prepare managers and future leaders who will shape the increasingly technology-oriented and data-driven world. IIM Kashipur focuses on grooming its students to acquire knowledge, skills and attitudes for leadership profiles so that they can seamlessly navigate the ever-changing business landscape. IIM Kashipur nurtures the students through a balanced mix of academics, industry exposure and co-curricular activities.

Objectives

The primary objectives of this programme are:

  1. To provide a comprehensive learning environment for students to cope with the increasing demand for complex data analysis and thus helping organizations to make better decisions.
  2. To understand the necessary principles of different forms of analytics (descriptive, predictive and prescriptive) to facilitate decision-making in practical business settings.
  3. To acquire and use advanced analytical as well as managerial skills to evaluate uncertain and dynamic business environment and to make effective decisions.
  4. To develop the ability to communicate business information to decision-makers and policymakers.

 

Eligibility Criteria

In order to be eligible to apply for MBA (Analytics) programme, a candidate must possess:

1. A full-time Bachelor's degree in any discipline or an equivalent academic pursuit (i.e. 10+2+3), with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent CGPA (47% for NC-OBC/EWS, 45% marks for SC/ST/DAP)

2. Any of the following qualifying exam score:

• Valid CAT-2023 Score
• GMAT score where the exam was not taken earlier than May 1, 2022


Reservation Criteria

IIM Kashipur will follow the Government of India norms on reservations for Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Non-Creamy Other Backward Class (NC-OBC), Differently-Abled Person (DAP), and Economically Weaker Section (EWS) candidates.


Admission Process

The Admission Process shall comprise of the following stages

Stage 1: 

Candidates will have to submit online application with all the required documents in the form of attachments as required in the online application form.

The following amount shall be charged as an application fee (non-refundable) from the applicants :

General/ NC-OBC/ EWS Candidates – Rs. 1500 and

SC / ST / DAP Candidates – Rs. 750

Stage 2:

Candidates will be shortlisted based on their Qualifying Exam Score (CAT-2023/ GMAT), educational background (Marks obtained in X, XII and Graduation Degree), work experience, discipline diversity, and gender diversity.

Stage 3:

Shortlisted candidates will have to appear for a Personal Interview. Online Personal Interviews will be conducted.


Important Information

The following documents need to be kept ready as they may be requested at any time during the admission process for further verification.

• Caste Certificate (NC-OBC/SC/ST/DAP certificate), if applicable
• Valid NC-OBC Certificate at the time of admission registration.
• EWS supporting document as per GoI norms
• SSC/10th Std/Equivalent Marksheet
• HSC/12th Std/Equivalent Marksheet
• Graduation Degree Marksheet/Degree 
• Proof of Work Experience, i.e.- relevant Certificate(s) along with first & last salary slips. Specific dates of joining and leaving the organization(s) need to be mentioned. Self-employed professionals may submit a personal declaration stating the exact dates of their employment along with necessary documents. Indicate only paid and full-time work experience acquired after completing the bachelor’s degree. (Apprenticeship, Articleship, Internship, etc., which form an integral part of a course study, should not be treated as work experience).

Institute Sponsored Scholarships

Full yearly tuition fee waiver will be provided under three types of scholarship to 10% of both the batches (first year and second year) of the MBA Program

  1. Need-based Scholarship
  2. Merit-based Scholarship
  3. Need-cum-Merit based Scholarship

Candidates in financial need may avail the facility of the Education Loan provided by various banks.

Applicants have to pay the following application fees.

• General/ NC-OBC / EWS Candidates – Rs. 1500
• SC / ST /  DAP Candidates – Rs. 750

Application form:

Candidates seeking admission to the programme are required to submit an online application on or before 7th March 2024. Hard copy of the application is not required.
