The MBA (Analytics) at IIM Kashipur is a two-year, full-time residential program meticulously crafted to build a strong foundation in both management principles and advanced data analytics. Designed for future leaders in the analytics domain, the curriculum offers a structured and progressive learning journey that seamlessly integrates theoretical frameworks with practical application.
The first year is organized into three academic terms and comprises exclusively mandatory core courses. These courses span key functional areas of management and analytics, equipping students with essential knowledge and skills that serve as the bedrock for advanced study. Upon completion of the first-year coursework, students undertake an 8–10 week summer internship, providing immersive exposure to real-world business challenges and an opportunity to apply classroom learning in a professional environment.
The second year is divided into three terms (IV, V, and VI) and features a blend of mandatory analytics courses, a diverse selection of electives, and a comprehensive dissertation component. Students have the flexibility to customize their academic path by selecting electives aligned with their interests and career goals.
The dissertation, conducted across all three terms of the second year, allows students to engage in deep, independent research on a topic of personal or professional relevance. This capstone project fosters critical thinking and analytical rigor, guiding students through the process of problem definition, application of analytical methodologies, and synthesis of insights—skills that are indispensable in today’s data-centric business landscape.
