Following on the same quote, Expedition Club strives towards acquainting the IIM Kashipur fraternity with the vastness of mountains, far-reaching oceans, arid deserts, and a plethora of opportunities encompassing the tourism sector. We are a bunch of nomads and adventure seekers with a common passion for Traveling. The day-to-day work of the club includes promoting tourism and fitness among the business community through a variety of events and PAN India competitions. As IIM Kashipur’s logo depicts the triple bottom line of the People, Planet, and Profit, this club’s mission is to promote sustainable tourism on our beloved planet earth.

Tourist 3.0

A pan India case study competition based on the Tourism Sector in India. Covid-19 has posed various problems for tourism and travel companies. Tourist 3.0 enabled the students to work on real-life case problems while simultaneously applying the learnings to real problems.

Paryatan 3.0

A pan India quiz competition based on the tourism sector in India. The tourism Industry is the largest service industry in India. It contributes 6.23% of gross GDP and 8.78% of total employment in India. Every year there are 5 million foreign tourists, and 562 million domestic tourists are served by the industry. The theme for this year was "Domestic Tourism in India", and we explore the hidden treasures, those intricate tourist circuits in India.

Bicycles on Campus

The club-owned bicycles are present on the campus for everybody to use. Through this initiative, the Expedition club is looking to promote fitness and sporting activities among the students. Various cycling milestones and fitness challenges are also organized on the campus with exciting prizes and incentives for the most consistent rider.

Voyager of the Year

A pan India Article writing competition to bring out the best travel memories and showcase the storytelling skills. Content creation and article writing are major skills that are required in the Tourism industry for the marketing function. As in the tourism industry, you must sell interesting stories about the place and experience that each place gives; the Art of Storytelling is a major skill a marketer should possess to thrive in this industry.

Voyager of the Year is a Pan India article writing competition where participants need to submit articles according to the given guidelines about their travel experiences.
