About Details
The Design Innovation Cell (DIC) at IIM Kashipur is a student-driven initiative that envisions positioning the institute as a hub for human-centric innovation. Anchored in the principles of design thinking, problem-solving, and interdisciplinary collaboration, the cell fosters a culture of creativity and innovation by empowering students to develop innovative solutions in product design, services, consultancy, and research.
Aligned with the Design Innovation Centre (Navaashay), the DIC Cell focuses on providing hands-on experiences through workshops, mentorship programs, real-world projects, and industry collaborations. The cell actively partners with global design and consulting firms, leading design institutions, and technical institutes across India to facilitate masterclasses, speaker series, and nationwide competitions. By building these strategic collaborations, the DIC Cell offers students and external stakeholders a platform to engage with cutting-edge innovation frameworks and global best practices.
Through its initiatives, the DIC Cell strengthens IIM Kashipur’s positioning as a centre of excellence in design thinking-led innovation, equipping students with the skills to excel in an evolving business landscape and enabling them to emerge as future innovators and leaders.
