Introduction

Team Impact, IIM Kashipur, embodies the institute’s commitment to translating management education into meaningful societal change. As a student-driven body, it works at the intersection of leadership and grassroots action to address pressing social and developmental challenges in and around Kashipur.

By bridging the institute with government bodies, NGOs, and community stakeholders, Team Impact designs and executes structured, high-impact interventions grounded in empathy, accountability, and measurable outcomes.

Through purposeful engagement and strategic collaboration, the team nurtures socially conscious leaders while contributing to sustainable community transformation.

  1. Menstrual Hygiene Drive: Team Impact organised a large-scale Menstrual Hygiene Awareness and Distribution Drive across villages in and around Kashipur, directly impacting over 1,500+ women. By focusing on both access and awareness, the drive sought to create sustained behavioural change and empower women with knowledge, confidence, and informed choice.
  2. ImpactPreneur: The Pan-India case competition focused on developing scalable solutions to pressing social challenges. ImpactPreneur’26 focused on Road Safety and Roadside Vegetation, addressing critical concerns surrounding accident prevention, responsible mobility, and sustainable infrastructure planning. The competition was conducted in collaboration with TRAX Road Safety NGO and Steelbird, integrating academic rigour with industry and field expertise.
  3. Road Safety Tambola Night: As a strategic pre-event to ImpactPreneur’26, Team Impact organised a Road Safety Tambola Night that engaged over 100 participants through an interactive awareness format. By integrating traffic rules, safety norms, and compliance practices into gameplay, the event transformed awareness into an engaging and memorable experience.
  4. Represented IIM Kashipur at “Mission Save Lives on Roads, India” Summit: At the prestigious “Mission Save Lives on Roads, India” Summit, graced by UN Special Envoy Jean Todt and global dignitaries, Team Impact represented IIM Kashipur on a national stage of immense significance. The team showcased the institute’s social initiatives, particularly its work in road safety and community engagement, positioning IIM Kashipur among institutions driving meaningful change. The summit enabled valuable dialogue with global leaders, strengthened strategic networks, and reinforced a strong commitment to advancing scalable, impact-driven solutions for safer mobility in India.
  5. International Yoga Day – Article Writing Competition: To commemorate International Yoga Day, Team Impact organised an Article Writing Competition encouraging reflections on yoga’s role in mental resilience, physical well-being, and balanced leadership. The initiative witnessed enthusiastic participation, promoting thought leadership on holistic wellness and reinforcing the importance of mindfulness in today’s high-pressure environment.
  6. Hit-and-Run Cases Project: Conducted comprehensive research and analysis for the Hit-and-Run Cases Project across Rudrapur and Kashipur, aligned with the Road Safety mandate. The study involved identifying incident patterns, uncovering critical risk factors, and generating actionable insights to support targeted interventions.
  7. The Citizen App: Conducted a detailed analysis of the District Emergency Response System (DERS) to evaluate its efficiency, responsiveness, and on-ground impact. Worked closely with the SSP Office to identify gaps and areas of improvement, translating insights into actionable recommendations. Additionally, contributed to the development of a Citizen App designed to enhance accessibility, streamline emergency reporting, and strengthen citizen-police engagement.
  8. Urban Planning Collaboration with SPA, New Delhi: Organised and facilitated a comprehensive session in collaboration with the School of Planning and Architecture (SPA), New Delhi, to support the District Development Plan for Udham Singh Nagar. The session brought together academic expertise and administrative perspectives to deliberate on sustainable planning, infrastructure development, and policy alignment.
  9. Voter Awareness Initiative: Supported the CDO Office and District Magistrate in strengthening voter turnout across Kashipur and Rudrapur through targeted awareness efforts, including public space painting, nukkad nataks, pamphlet distribution, helpline booths, and Doordarshan outreach. The initiative focused on encouraging informed and active civic participation at the grassroots level.
